We major on: Love

There is no shortage of hurt and heartache in the world. You may have been told you aren’t good enough, smart enough, or pretty enough. But at our church, we believe in lifting one another up in the love of Christ.

we major on: God’s Truth

Some people don’t believe in truth anymore. They suggest that a blue pen is only blue in the eye of the beholder. Not so. There are absolutes in the world and our Church’s foundation is the absolute Truth revealed in God’s Word.

We are here for you!

We’re glad you’ve found our church! We hope you’ll find us to be an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we don’t make any claims to be perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community.

In fact, it’s so good that we think it’s worth sharing!

The people in our congregation are like you—trying to find the time and energy to fit everything in each week and keep life in balance. To do that we’re convinced that we need wisdom and love beyond our own limited capacities. That’s why we set aside time every week to worship God and learn from his Book, the Bible. In our Bible study time and worship services both young and old learn principles for successful living that work not only on Sundays, but every other day of the week.

Another source of strength and joy is the support that we give each other. Lots of  encouragement comes from being with people from a variety of backgrounds and interests who care about each other! How helpful it is to listen to the wisdom of older Christians and enjoy the exuberance of our children. And what a comfort to receive encouragement and support  from church friends in time of crisis.

As we worship God, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we develop a common bond. Families coming to church together are strengthened in their commitment to God and as well as to each other. And we’re finding new answers to individual and family needs.

We’ve also learned that King Solomon was right when he wrote, “Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). With the range of challenges and temptations facing young people today, we’re committed to having age-appropriate classes that apply practical scriptural teaching to real-life issues they face. What better foundation for a happy, productive life can you offer your child?

All the benefits that we enjoy at our church are based on our commitment to Jesus Christ as our Savior, and the Word of God as our guidebook. When you commit your life to Christ, you enter a special relationship with God that enables you to face life’s problems and bear them with his aid and the help of his people.

Do we find this approach to life fulfilling? Absolutely! We’re finding out for ourselves the meaning of Christ’s words: “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). We believe, as the Bible teaches, that Jesus made eternal life and forgiveness available to us when he died on the cross for our sins: “Christ…suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God ” (1 Peter 3:18). “To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). By putting your trust in the risen Jesus Christ, you too can share the blessings of becoming a child of God and enjoy building relationships with his people right here in our church.

We sincerely hope you’ll look further into what makes our church what it is. We welcome you to share the joy that we’ve found.
